Weekend Masses at Saint Patrick’s Basilica are served by a volunteer group of cantors. On occasion, weekday Feasts and Solemnities are celebrated that also require cantors. The requirements to serve the Basilica as a cantor are to possess a pleasant and trained voice with clear diction. Cantors require a secure ability to read music, the ability to take direction, faithfulness, reliability, and punctuality. Those wishing to join the Basilica as cantors should contact the Music Director to arrange a meeting and audition.
